Advancing Care Through Clinical Research
Elligo Clinical Research Center (Elligo CRC), founded in 2021, is a clinical research site in Austin, TX. Led by Dr. Faith Holmes, our team conducts phase 1 dose escalation vaccine trials, as well as phase II, III, and IV clinical studies, in addition to diagnostic and device research across multiple therapeutic areas. Meet the Experts
Behind Our Research
Since opening the Elligo Clinical Research Center in 2021, she has served as investigator on over 33 trials, including interventional, diagnostic, device, and observational studies. Her experience spans vaccines, early cancer detection, COVID detection, respiratory indications, and metabolic disorders including obesity, Type II diabetes, and OSA.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology from Trevecca University and her Doctor of Medicine degree from ORU School of Medicine. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
She brings a decade of nursing and clinical trial/research experience in multiple therapeutic areas including Nephrology and Kidney transplantation, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Vaccines, and Infectious diseases. She has vast experience working with both adult and pediatric patients from diverse ethnic and racial groups.
Prior to joining Elligo, Rita worked as a Research Nurse at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, TN and later as a Research Nurse Practitioner at Tekton Research, Austin, TX. She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
He previously worked in Neurosurgery at Marcus Neuroscience Institute in Boca Raton, FL and Hospital Medicine at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to a diverse population.
He is excited to be at Elligo, contributing to scientific discovery in the areas of obesity, diabetes, sleep apnea, and more.
