About Us

Elligo Clinical Research Center (Elligo CRC), founded in 2021, is a clinical research site in Austin, TX. Our facility conducts phase 1 dose escalation vaccine trials, phase II, III and IV clinical studies, in addition to diagnostic and device studies, to help find:

  • New treatments and therapies
  • More effective treatments than previously available
  • Disease prevention therapies
  • New and/or improved medical devices
  • New diagnostic tests

Investigators

FAITH HOLMES, MD

Faith Holmes, MD, brings over 30 years of experience in clinical practice, and medical practice management to her role as Elligo’s Chief Medical Officer. Joining Elligo Health Research in 2019, she has served as Central Principal Investigator on over 15 Decentralized clinical trials.

Since opening the Elligo Clinical Research Center in 2021 she has served as investigator there on over 33 trials for interventional, diagnostic, device, and observational trials. Some of the therapeutic areas have been in vaccines, early cancer detection, COVID detection, respiratory indications and significant experience in metabolic disorders including Obesity/Overweight, Type II Diabetes and OSA.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and biology from Trevecca University, her Doctor of Medicine degree from ORU School of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

P. FARAG, MD

P. Farag, MD is a Medical Director and Investigator at Elligo’s Clinical Research Center in Austin, TX. Since completing his medical school and residency training at the University of Toronto, he has dedicated his career to advancing clinical research and served as investigator on over 30 trials (Phase I-IV).

These include therapeutic and diagnostic studies, employing both decentralized and traditional models. As a recipient of the Top-Quality Improvement Award at an international conference, Dr. Farag has also been instrumental in driving systems level change and optimizing clinical trial conduct. Dr. Farag is currently board certified in Internal Medicine.

Rita Yankyera, MSN, FNP-BC

Rita Yankyera is a Sub-Investigator and Nurse Practitioner who received her bachelor’s degree in Ghana, West Africa and her master’s degree from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN.

She brings a decade of nursing and clinical trial/research experience in multiple therapeutic areas including Nephrology and Kidney transplantation, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Vaccines, and Infectious diseases. She has vast experience working with both adult and pediatric patients from diverse ethnic and racial groups.

Prior to joining Elligo, Rita worked as a Research Nurse at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, TN and later as a Research Nurse Practitioner at Tekton Research, Austin, TX. She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
